13 Sins (2014): Money is the Root of All Evil

Imagine this; you are in the most financially-depressing time of your life and someone calls you and asks you to kill a fly and he will give you a thousand bucks. Let say you have killed the fly, and he calls again telling you to eat it for a greater price. Will you eat it? If your answer is yes, you will be give two options: continue the game for higher stakes or not and you will lose what you have already won. Sounds tempting right? But if you accept the deal, you will face another 11 challenges that is much worst and harder than the first you. There are those that involve committing crimes like killing people.

This is the scenario faced by the lead character of the movie 13 sins. And yes, he accept the challenges since he just got fired from his job and needs to support his father, his mentally-challenged brother, his upcoming wedding and soon-to-be child. At that moment, getting cash is what is on his mind so he accepts the deal. The game then continues, some challenges are bizarre and some will surely get you in jail. But the game host promise that when he completes all the 13 challenges he will be rich and will be free of any legal charges. The question is will he be able to complete the challenges?

That is the plot of this pretty awesome movie. It was good in a way that it will give you chills and will keep you on the edge of your seat as the main character decides to do the challenges or not. There are also great twists at the end as well. These twists will shock you and will answer the questions running in your head.

The game at the beginning seems to be very simple. But as it progresses it changes the character in a subconscious manner. This proves that the money is the root of all evil. He is a good guy but because of the monetary offer, he was able to do things that make him a criminal. So, if you happen to be in the same situation as the main character is, will you play the game?
